Microsoft Office may still reign king in terms of the most used office suites, but LibreOffice is an excellent free alternative that can easily compare to the popular toolkit. After Oracle purchased OpenOffice, a large part of its development community decided to create a fork of their own. Thus, LibreOffice was born, and the world was gifted with a suite that would continue to offer everyone a free and robust alternative to the main existing office suites.
LibreOffice includes a word processor, a spreadsheet editor, a presentation editor, a graphic editor, a mathematical formula editor and a database editor. All these tools are alternatives to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and other components of the Office suite. The documents created with the different MS Office applications can be read from LibreOffice and modified using any of its tools, so compatibility is guaranteed.
To top it all off, the program includes an efficient history of open documents that lets you automatically access all your work or study files regardless of whether it’s a text document, a spreadsheet or a presentation. Plus, you have a huge number of templates available for each of the available tools.
In short, if you don’t want to have to buy a commercial office pack, give this office suite a try and take advantage of all the benefits this free software has to offer.

Comments
Essential program for those who have their own business, easy to use and its interface is intuitive
Except for some documents that are sent to me (to ensure nothing breaks) - I access them through Microsoft Office) - I use LibreOffice as the main software - very convenient and fast!
Why does it say about a virus?
It is wonderful and 1000% recommended....
LibreOffice is great
I really like LibreOffice, but version 7.0.3 is a development version—bugs are going to happen. The stable version of LibreOffice is 6.4.7, which most likely does not have bugs.
